Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved Them! I purchased the MR1 Mrk 2 last Christmas, and within 2 minutes of getting them out the packaging I had them blasting Freddie Mercury around the kitchen. Together they are truly wonderful and sit proudly on the bookshelf in my room. Alone, the master unit was a great companion, following me around the house while I studied for my A-level exams. It was almost painful having to turn it off! They can happily drown out whatever racket my sisters plays from her adjacent room and still sounds fantastic when turned down low. The highs are soaring, and the bass powerful for something their size. They're so easy to use; switching inputs is a doddle and in the flesh my walnut pair look as great as they sound. Well done Ruark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best little boxes I've heard I just can't find any fault with these little gems; smooth yet clear mid-range and a deep and earthy bass that just shouldn't be coming out of boxes this size. I've 'auditioned' numerous others, right up to and including stupid money. Most didn't compare, two did that were 5 times the price. Only one minor niggle; no headphone socket. I'll live with it though.

They are linked to our tv by an optical lead and have completely transformed our viewing experience. The Bluetooth connection to my phone for iTunes or online radio is brilliant. If the bass is there the speakers produce it without overpowering the other instruments or voices.

Vocal clarity well handled (Paloma Faith, Only Love can Hurt & Sugar Babes, About you now). Hi Fi Quality speakers that work well on a computer.

Brought these to pair up with my record deck and as always the sound is superb. The big plus is the Bluetooth so fewer wires and no restrictions on where everything fits. Commended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Usual Ruark high standard I use these speakers in connection with my TV and they have improved the sound quality immeasurably. Excellent appearance and build quality. Took a little time for the speakers to activate and I thought there must be a fault but a minute or two later all was well. Perhaps a note in the instructions would not come amiss. A pity my R2 radio, which is excellent, does not have a bluetooth transmitter. Thoroughly recommend this product.
